Are dogs allowed in Walmart?
In short, no. Dogs are not allowed inside of Walmart however service dogs are accepted.  Walmart stores have recently added signs stating “Service Animals Welcome”. The sign also goes on to explain that normal pets are not welcome due to the risk of the groceries coming into contact with bacteria from the animals.

As mentioned at the start, unfortunately dogs cannot go into Walmart, however working dogs also known as service dogs are allowed. Some Walmart stores have recently put signs up explaining that dogs may carry harmful bacteria that can be transferred to the groceries. 
Members of staff at Walmart tend to not ask whether someone is bringing their service dog inside, however they use their best judgment to decide whether this is the case or not. 
A lot of the time, customers respect the rules and ensure they don’t bring their pets inside without good reason.
